MYOB – how to record transaction for expense on credit basis?

How do I record the transaction for equipment hiring expense on credit (accounts payable)? "Spend money" in the Banking command centre or "Enter purchases" in Purchases .. or something else ?? I’m so new and hopeless to this. Any help would be much appreciated!
